Kayaking in Tomales Bay
Kayaking in Tomales Bay is a popular excursion for visitors to the Point Reyes National Seashore located off scenic Highway 1. As a coastal estuary, Tomales Bay teems with diverse wildlife such including migratory birds, harbor eals, and tule elk. While the elk typically do not come to the Tomales Bay shore, herds can be seen from the water – a spectacular sight from the seat of a kayak. Visitors interested in kayaking Tomales Bay can use their own boat, rent one, or participate in a guided kayak tour with local outfitters.
