Wine & Food Affair – Go!
For those of us who live in the wine country of Sonoma County, we know that the Napa and Sonoma Valleys have always had the lion’s share of the media spotlight. For those of you who don’t know better, Sonoma County just to the east, also has celebrated wine areas, small batch wineries, family owned and boutique labeled.
One of the best ways to get some knowledge of one part of the wine diversity here in Sonoma County is to attend the up coming Wine Road’s Wine & Food Affair. It’s not just winetasting but small bites of food to pair with the wine and if you’re lucky a cookbook(extra) that includes those foods. It’s 110 wineries offering tastings and small bites to pair with their wines. A great introduction to the appellations in West and North Sonoma County – Dry Creek, Alexander Valley, Green Valley and Russian River. The great extras of this event include a discounted ticket for your Designated Driver and a cookbook that includes the tasty treats the wineries will be offering.
To get an idea of what goes on during that weekend, visit YouTube and type in Wine & Food Affair Sonoma County and take a look at the current vid of last year’s event.
