Sonoma County – Best of the World
My, my, my this past December there was a treasure trove of magazine articles published about our area – and that would be Sonoma County south and Sonoma County west.
One I’ll mention was in National Geographic Traveler magazine, Nov/Dec 2011, Best of the World, 20 Great Places to Experience in 2012 – http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/best-trips-2012/#/botw-main-gallery-sonoma_41335
The article starts in west Sonoma County up at Twin Hill Ranch in Sebastopol where they still grow the Gravenstein Apple, which we offer in our lobby at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, when it’s in season. Yes, you can visit the ranch, they’re on the Farm Trails map. Then it mentions a few of our millions of wineries throughout out our area – think Green Valley, Carneros or Dry Creek appellations to name a few areas. The Russian River for canoeing, Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve for a forest of redwood trees and it goes on and on. If you have time take a read and start dreaming about making drive up to see us.
