Art is the Spice of Life
I recently took a tour of the Sebastopol Center for the Arts with Linda Galletta, its Executive Director. Housed in a renovated warehouse at 6780 Depot Street in Sebastopol, just about a mile north of the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Linda was just finishing the installation of the Bibliophoria – Celebratte Books Arts exhibit which runs from now until the end of July. The Center will remind you of Fort Mason in SF, where a rustic space was reclaimed and redeemed into a wonderful place for artist’s exhibitions, music lessons, authors talks and even group or individual projects centered around weaving or creating pottery.
If you’re ever at the Sunday Farmer’s Market, the Center is really close to walk to and since there isn’t any entrance fee to pay, you really have no excuse to mosie on down and see what great art is being shown. Take a look at their website for current events and shows, www.sebarts.org
